<!--This is a small website I put together to showcase and sell the <a href="instructions">custom LEGO&reg; instructions</a> I have created. My chosen specialty is the designing of familiar buildings of my childhood. This will include such places as fast food restaurants, service stations, stores, etc. </p> <p>I am fairly new to the AFOL (Adult Fans of LEGO&reg;) community - but have been a long time fan of LEGO&reg; since getting my first space sets in the late '70s. With the introduction of the LEGO&reg; modular  buildings and  exploring  other amazing fan creations on <a href="http://www.mocpages.com" target="_blank">MOCPages.com</a> - I quickly became  hooked on building my own LEGO&reg; MOCs. I hope with further experience, my models will become more advanced and professional looking like the amazing fan creations I   admire. Until then - this is what I have to offer.</p> <p>Please note that when I first create a model - I will always cross check every piece I use to make sure it is readily available on <a href="http://www.bricklink.com" target="_blank">BrickLink.com</a>. Of course sometimes using a hard to find piece is unavoidable - but I try to make sure that even those pieces are obtainable (at a reasonable price).</p> <p>When putting my instructions together, I take great care to make sure they are as easy to follow as a real LEGO&reg; instruction book. I will meticulously go through each step making sure everything is clear and concise.</p> <p>I found that not everyone likes their parts list the same way - so with each instruction book I will include the parts list in 3 different formats. One is a simple text list of each part #, color and quantity. The other is the same - but  with pictures in an html format. And the 3rd  (my favorite option!) is an .xml file that you can copy/paste in BrickLink's handy <a href="http://www.bricklink.com/wantedXML.asp" target="_blank">mass upload</a> feature to make an instant wanted list.</p> <p>I have been asked many times what program I use to create my instructions. Well, it's actually many programs - all of which take some practice to figure out. The first one I use to initially &quot;build&quot; my model is called <a href="http://bricksmith.sourceforge.net/" target="_blank">BrickSmith</a>. Once the model is done - I will import it into a program called <a href="http://lpub.sourceforge.net/" target="_blank">LPub</a> to help break it into steps and put the book together. I use <a href="http://www.brickforge.de/software/brickstore/" target="_blank">BrickStore</a> to create a parts list. I also use standard designs software like Adobe <a href="http://www.adobe.com/illustrator" target="_blank">Illustrator</a> and <a href="http://www.adobe.com/photoshop" target="_blank">Photoshop</a> to spruce everything up a bit. These are all done on my Mac. Other than the Adobe software - I'm not sure if these exact programs are available for PC. I'm sure if they're not, a suitable substitute would be available - just Google: &quot;LDraw&quot; and start looking. <p>Have fun!      Yer pal ~ DCB     -->
